The Reading Railroad Heritage Museum and gift shop located at 500 S. Third Street, Hamburg is open Sundays-only in February and weekends in March. Included with admission: a video, “The Reading Railroad Shaped Communities,” museum displays, and museum store. Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday April 12, 2008.

From Interstate 78 (north of Hamburg): exit at the PA Route 61 Exit and go SOUTH on Route 61. At the first traffic light, (note the Ford dealership on the left) turn LEFT, and continue to bear left onto Fourth Street heading north into the town of Hamburg for a few blocks. At the Valero gas and convenience store, turn left onto Maple Street. Go one block and turn right on Third Street. The Museum is the complex of large brick factory buildings on the left (west side of Third Street). The entrance door is mid-block. Park anywhere along the street where you aren’t blocking a driveway.
From Interstate 76, PA Turnpike (south of Hamburg): take PA Route 61 heading NORTH from Reading. As you come into the outskirts of Hamburg, watch for the large green "Hamburg" highway sign and bear RIGHT onto the local street as Route 61 curves left just before the traffic light. There is an Arby’s restaurant on the immediate right and a Ford dealership on the right the other side of the traffic light. Proceed on this local street, which becomes Fourth Street, a few blocks and at the Valero gas and convenience store, turn LEFT onto Maple Street. Go one block and turn RIGHT on Third Street. The Museum is the complex of large brick factory buildings on the left (west side of Third Street). The entrance door is mid-block. Park anywhere along the street where you aren’t blocking a driveway.
Leesport yard is located just off Route 61, at Wall and Canal Streets in Leesport, PA. There are no available facilities and regular staff on-site. We ask you to be careful in walking around the yard and to not climb on any of the equipment. Feel free though to take as many photos as you’d like!
From Interstate 78 (north of Leesport): take Route 61 SOUTH for approx. 6 miles. At the traffic light in Leesport (next to the Turkey Hill convenience store), turn RIGHT. The yard is just across the railroad tracks at the corner of Wall and Canal Streets.
From Interstate 76, PA Turnpike (south of Leesport): exit at Morgantown, proceed on miles, take Route 422 WEST, then watch signs for Route 222 NORTH towards Allentown following Route 222 for about eight miles. Exit onto Route 61 NORTH for approx. 6 miles. After passing Burger King on the right, turn LEFT at the traffic light next to the Turkey Hill convenience store. The yard is just across the railroad tracks at the corner of Wall and Canal Streets.
The Temple Station Museum and Gift Shop is no longer open.
The monthly RCT&HS meeting is held at:

Meetings begin by covering Society business and usually conclude with entertainment in the form of slides, films, videos, or a guest speaker. Additional business meetings of the Executive Board are held as needed.
